Life has been a bit crazy lately...as I'm sure you have guessed due to my lack of activity here! We were without a kitchen sink for a week and a half and during that time my uncle moved in with us, we built him a bedroom in the basement, several of us were mildly sick, base cabinets and a new countertop were installed in the kitchen, the ac went out in the van, and...to make things even more interesting...Silas had a board fall over on his foot, fracturing the top bone that goes to the big toe. So the Wednesday before Elsie's birthday party found me sitting in Children's with Silas while he had a cast put on. Kids always amaze me though...especially this one. He sat through the entire process munching his snack as if there was nothing unusual going on. The upsetting thing for him was that he didn't get a matching shoe to put on the other foot.
He gets it taken off on the 15th, but in the meantime, having a cast hasn't slowed him down one bit. He doesn't say a word about it being there, just goes on with life as usual!
